About MRN
The Mission Resourcing Network was established by the Uniting Church, Synod of South Australia in 2002, to assist the church to develop a culture of mission. There are eighteen (full and part-time) MRN staff based in the church office at 212 Pirie Street, Adelaide. While all staff are available to travel anywhere within this state, five are specifically Rural Mission Planners.
The MRN works in a range of areas, some of which include:

helping to develop leadership for a missional church

helping to identify and support a number of Mission Centres across the Synod

providing and recommending a range of resources to assist churches to grow their mission

deepening faith and discipleship through cross-cultural mission experiences

supporting partner churches overseas in mission and justice

fostering networks which encourage local mission

assisting congregations and regions to engage in mission planning

resourcing congregations in regards to justice issues

assisting congregations to implement practices that further develops the convenant relationship the UCA has with the United Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress
